In order to get the maximum
amount of fun from dancing out,
we do, on many occasions, have to lug about various bits of
essential equipment, particularly the sticks for stick dances.

The Stick Box.
We don't trust members of the side to turn up
with their own sticks so we have devised this natty contraption on wheels to
transport all the side's sticks. Long sticks in the top, short sticks round
the back as well as a useful handle to pull it along. |

The Dance Board.
This ingenious device is for organising the
dance sets. The dances are written on plastic plant labels that slide in and out of
the slots in the board. The top contains two dance sets while the bottom
holds dances we might do. Dance sets can be rearranged instantly. The envy
of many other sides. How clever I hear you say! |
 |
The Lollipop Man.
Named after an Adderbury dance which, when we
do it, starts with a rather rude song. He helps us with collecting for the
cause. He has a rather large pair of trousers and the audience can enjoy
stuffing money down the front of them. |
 |
Champion 'The Wonder Horse'.
Used to cause mayhem and disruption among the
dancers. Lots of sides have animals, this is ours. We did have an old
horse called 'Dobbin' but alas he passed away and his ashes are now kept in
a biscuit tin.
We also have a Dragon but we don't seem to
see much of him. Shy creatures dragons! |

The Anagram Board.
This only comes out on special occasions like
ales and weekends of dance. The board has hooks on it and the yellow tiles
hang on the hooks. At first the tiles would be arranged to spell 'Golden
Star' but then the idea is to see what you can make up. You don't have to
use all the tiles. Hours of amusement! |
